Căsătoria este locul în care începem să învățăm cea mai mare dragoste (Ioan 15:13): aceea de a ne omorî pe noi de dragul partenerului de viață. E moarte dulce-amară. Right now I see there is this kind of suffering that happens, this kind of daily lesson in losing yourself for another human being. It is not always fun but Christ said more than once that the way to find your life is to lose your life and marriage is a very vivid image of what that is. This song is about my 15th year married song. Hopefully when people here it, the young married couples or people thinking about getting married, they have this idea in they’re minds that marriage is gonna fix them somehow. Hopefully it will be a gentle reminder that marriage doesn’t fix you, marriage just means now they are two broken people trying to figure out life together. It is a beautiful holy thing but it is far from easy.
